Lawrence Lee, MBA, CFA

 

Lawrence has 20 years of working experience in Investments, Banking and Consultancy.

 

Prior to being a Consultant, Lawrence worked as Vice President, Portfolio Manager in SG Asset Management (part of the Societe Generale Group). Having been a Professional Investor for a decade, Lawrence understands the mindset of investors and what they look for before investing in companies. This enables him to present companies in ways that would attract investors. Lawrence also understands the different investment preferences and styles of investors and accurately identifies investment targets that are specifically suited to them.

 

Valuing companies is an integral part of Portfolio Management as Professional Investors look for good stocks at attractive valuation to add to their portfolio. Being grounded in valuation techniques come in useful when there is a need to value companies for the purpose of inviting equity investors. Lawrence is able to help his clients to get good value for their companies, yet not value their companies excessively as to deter investors.

 

Before joining the Investment industry, Lawrence worked as a Corporate Banking Manager in a Singapore Bank. One of the main responsibilities of this job is to extend bank funding to companies. As banks are generally more risk averse than equity investors, this experience in a bank helps him to be mindful of risks and how risks can be mitigated to attract funders.

 

Vijitha Wickramasinghe MBA (Finance), SFDR (Lon), BEng (Hons)

Vijitha, who is originally from London, UK, has over 10 years working experience in Investments, Asset Management and Consultancy. 

Prior to being a consultant, he worked as Head of Derivatives Trading for Commerz Capital International, a start up Hedge Fund with assets over $25 million. He was involved in formulating hedge fund trading strategies, principally based on equity options. He is a qualified trader having successfully completed the Securities and Financial Derivatives Representative (SFDR) examination conducted by the Securities and Futures Authority in UK.

Having obtained a MBA in Finance from a leading university in the UK, he worked as the Principal Instructor and Business Development Manager for Powerup Capital Network Pte Ltd, Singapore, a leading international provider of education seminars on stock market investing and derivatives trading. Powerup Capital has conducted seminars and workshops for the investing public in UK, Middle East and Singapore, educating people on how to invest in the stock market.

Before moving to Singapore, he had worked for a number of multi-national corporations in the UK.  His last posting in the UK was as a Risk Manager for Schlumberger Sema, a global oilfield and information services company with major activities in the energy industry.

 

Said Badouri, Degree in Journalism, Communication & Business

Said’s expertise is in Europe and the Middle East. He speaks English, Dutch, French and Arabic and represents companies in Europe and the Middle East in the area of Business Facilitation and Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc.

Said previously worked as a professional journalist in the Netherlands and is still a member of the Dutch Federation of Journalists. In addition, he holds a Certificate of the International Federation of Journalists, which is headquartered in Brussels.

His past work experience includes being a director and shareholder of a successful recruitment company in the Netherlands, where he built many useful contacts in Europe at senior management positions.

Said brings considerable skills to locating lucrative business opportunities for the European and Middle Eastern clients. He has high-level contacts in Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Morocco, UAE, Germany, Central & Eastern Europe and is able to facilitate business and investment opportunities.

 

James Figueroa

James specializes in private equity brokering, joint venture facilitation and providing general resources to promote entrepreneurial activity. 

With a background in legal recruitment, James is a serial entrepreneur and has developed projects in industries ranging from film and music, to beverage import and distribution and international property.

He first entered the private equity sector as a teenager, developing a unique system of web-based fund search and swiftly established a reputation for quality and consistency.  He has contacts at the highest levels in industry, politics and the private equity community.
